Elk Grove - Galt CERT

Monthly Training


Elk Grove / Galt CERT provides community members additional training such as CPR- Professional Rescuer and AED, Water Safty & Rescue, HAZMAT, Radio Communications and Animal Rescue.

Below is the current 2011 Additional Training schedule.

 



EMS Refresher Training
New for 2012! EG-G CERT will be providing EMS refresher training classes to provide team members with reinforcement and upgrade of principles of patient care as it affects CERT in both "disaster" and "event" modes.

 

The classes will be held once a month on Saturdays for 10 months throughout 2012. We are attempting to have the classes 9am–11am on the second Saturday of each month excluding March and December. Some changes in this schedule may be necessary to accommodate other CERT activities such as Training and Community Events

Hazardous Materials– 1st Responder Awareness

Details:

This course is designed for first responders who are likely to witness or discover a hazardous substance release. The training will provide the tools to initiate an emergency response by using SIN. Safety, Isolation and Notification procedures. The course includes discussion of:

Personal Safety

Proper Notifications

Personal Protective Equipment

Incident Command System

Hazard Assessment”
